Adcive Needed For a Sub or Two Subs

Thread Starter
There are so many companies out there selling subs that is makes my head want to expode!

What I am trying to acquire are two reference series floor speakers along with the best sounding sub for around $1,000.00-$1,500.00 (for the sub only) or maybe even two subs around the same price.

The floor standing will be either the the RF82's or the Monitor 11's

Clearness of the sound is more important than the amount of volume that can be attained.

I have looked at:

Epik,
Velodyne
Klipsch
Paradigm

Btw, I will be running these through a Denon AVR-2312CI

They all have a great selection and I am wondering which one is right for me.

Advice would be most appreciated.

Lastly, I listen to both movies and music.

Thanks,

Sawacs

First, I'd get a spell checker. It would "sub" "advice" for "adcive". OK, that's a joke.

Second -- 1000 - 1500K -- as in a million dollars? Or is that yen?

Your room size will be an important consideration -- What are the dimensions?
Is it open to other areas, or closed?

And last, are there any considerations for size of the sub? Can you
accommodate two subs? In your budget, and with a large room, two
subs will make it much easier to get solid, even sound.

For what it's worth, I'm very happy with my single Epik Empire in a
very large, very open "room". Were a mate for it a possibility, I'd
be in heaven (but it's an awkward room for one, and a second would
totally blow any WAF).
