just bought a samsung 46d7000LG I'm so dissapointed what type of panel is this TV ?

Hi guys I just bought a 2 days ago this 3dtv , hearing all so marvellous things about samsung .. it's my first 3dtv , my previous one.. which I still am amazed by the quality of it's panel which is a Super H-IPS it's a panasonic 32LZ800.
Can any of you please tell me what's wrong with this TV is it me or my eyes? or I got a fake unit.. colors look washed.. I searched all over forums.. trying to find settings to calibrate it .. even at the side angles colors tend to come washed. Is it me that I'm jumping from a super IPS panel on a normal CCFL panasonic the problem.. I tried under HDMI different movies in 720p and 1080p and colors and image doesn't compare at all to my panasonic 32lz800.
I don't know what else to do.. the only .. somehow.. why I kindda passed it was using it on VGA mode .. in some way it looks a litttttle bit better.
I'm just hoping you guys can clear me all this out. I know there are different versions of this TV depending on the country. Mine it's Made in Mexico and was for the chilean market, i'm in argentina.

the pixel pattern if I look it closer should be like an IPS shape ? which is sort of a chevron pattern? ... is it possible I've been given a fake unit ?

what can I do so you can tell me it's a real 46D7000. Should I take some shots closely to the panel ... so you can see the pixel pattern ?

Any ideas where to get calibration settings for this set?
