Yes after three years it self destructs. And the warranty expires.

Good thing the same thing didn't happen to my AVR-5800. It had an MSRP of $3800, and is now 12 years old. But somehow, is still functioning perfectly in my bedroom.

Lol. My 4800 is great, but it's time to go digital and the 4311 was my choice.

Excellent service from EE for my 4311. It arrived double-boxed with a build date of Sept 2011. I'll get an opportunity to hook it up late today or tomorrow.

good, now that you've decided on the pio, there's no need for you to troll this one any longer, since this is a "deals" thread... if you'd like to learn about the relative merits of the 4311, there's a very active thread with any number of participants who can enlighten you...

For reference, the poster above you, ccotenj, switched from pioneer to denon, as well as many others he knows. They've actually been very active the past month or so on the 4311 thread as many have changed to xt32 from the pioneer thing, so ccotenj may be able to breakdown the differences to you better than most. But this is the deals thread.

For those looking still I would suggest AVS, ABT Electronics, Vanns as well as the other ones listed here lately.

Audioholics was very good to deal with too even though I returned mine after I got in on the Vann's deal.

It took them more than two weeks after they received my return at their warehouse before they credited my account, but they did refund the full purchase price with no restocking fee.

Man, more and more people post here about having gotten in on the Vann's deal. Lucky for you all, whether it was a mistake or not, some people were able to get in on it.

We all need to just ignore BADZ1969 and his trolling regarding problems from 2010. Hopefully, if we ignore him he will just go away.

Crutchfield Canada has the 4311ci on sale for $1,729.99, which is $500 off from their regular price. I've been following pricing for this receiver for a possible upgrade. Still a far cry from the US street price, nonetheless, I've never seen this receiver priced other than MSRP before.

A BIG one starts this Monday.

I saw that price, went to my dealer, who matched it, and ordered one for me. Should have it next week. My current 3808CI will now power the second 5.1 setup in my house, since I'm almost done upgrading everything

EE has it for $1208.57 with code GRANDSLAM + $30 shipping.

Is that when you call EE? The 4311 is priced at $2098.99 on their website. I called last week and the price was $1299 shipped with no sales tax. How do you apply the GRANDSLAM code? I bought one from Best Buy (Magnolia) as they price matched EE. I'd rather deal with BB as I got 36 month free financing and 45 day price protection.

Nope, I just tried it. That's the online price when you add it to your cart and apply that code. Good deal.

I confirmed by testing it out in the cart. Any idea what the expiration and stipulations are for the code? I really want to hold out on 3313CI specs and prices

These codes don't typically last long but I can't say for sure.
