Teaser trailer out...

At first I truly thought this was an ad before the actual trailer. I hope the film will be better than Extinction but I like the teaser!

Is it me or this series looks way cooler with Tron: Legacy music in the background?

Why in the hell do they keep making these?

Probably because I'm going to keep watching them!

Yay, another garbage movie in 3D! There's not enough of those being crapped out of the bowels of Hollywood these days.

Was wondering the same. I'm dying for a real RE movie that's in the spirit of the video games. I can't believe they've managed to milk this particular incarnation 5 times now....

Hey I admit I love the story and you want to see how it end.
We have the start of the story RE1, Middle RE2-4 no idea what the heck RE5 will do. Will they rap it up? Can we expect more?

That's what I've been wanting; a Resident Evil film series that stays true to the video game series in overall story structure. There's a lot of potential there.

I have no problem with Milla Jovovich and I agree that she usually has a good screen presence, but her husband is an awful writer and director.

We can only hope he's a bad husband too. There's our window.

I don't have an issue with the Alice character either, aside from the fact that other known characters like the Redfields and Jill Valentine have been relegated to supporting role status, and no sign of Leon Kennedy though he would likely have the same fate.

Right on. Find myself saying this more and more.

I loves me some Resident Evil movies. Looking forward to this one. I like how the teaser starts similar to a technology commercial with a little Baba O'Riley in the background. They did that with the third movie too using a cosmetic commercial. Plus, Milla is such a honey.

Here's an interview with Milla talking about RE: Retribution.

I like going into a movie with as little spoilers as possible. I think Milla gives away a bit too much info here. Just throwing it out there.

The first game offers more in effective story telling than all of the movies combined.

Just got back from flick. This is the visual special effects 3d extravaganza war and peace of the hot women in black latex genre. I liked all the other films but this blew past my expectations. And tell me the film isn't much better (or worst if you hated the earlier films) in 3d. It is like a horny gifted photographers wet dream. Rather than take a 3d picture you see it in your mind have the limitless budget to create it and have non-stop action move through it. Takes the game to a new level of sensory overload. What passes for dialogue is quite snappy.. Terminator like ending with sequels coming soon to a theater near you. Raises (or lowers) the bar considerably depending on your perspective. And I bet you we end up with even better (or worst if you did not like the earlier films) Underworld movies when their franchise sees this. In summary, holy sh-t.

I've been a fan and hooked on this RE series ever since about the 3rd one and very much looking forward to each one now. How can you not like young lady vs monsters in post apocalyptic setting? the only thing that can mess it up or get in the way of my enjoyment is to introduce suck ass actors/actress like Michele rodriguez who ruins every movie she's in...happy trails smile.gif

Don't hold your breath, the video games have in turned changed their tenor to appeal to the movies.

The first was a movie on itself and I could respect the changes they made. Everything since has just been B popcorn dreck that I won't spend a dime on. Paul WS Anderson is a very, very lucky hack. Yes, I wish I was him.

Thought it was just me. The 3D is amazing the FX even more so. I really enjoyed this more then I thought I would.
