I've been searching but have come up blank, for what I'm looking for. Is there a list of the best 3D games based on effects and images jumping out of the screen...eye candy.

I just picked up Socom 4 -- and it's amazing to play in 3-d -- lots of depth.
I was disappointed in PAIN.. (but i already owned it from release so it wasn't a big deal.

Resistance 3, Killzone 3 and Uncharted 3 are all awesome in 3D. Crisis 2 was a step below imo.

I've been most impressed with Wipeout HD.

I have played batman AC, Uncharted 3, Mortal Kombat and Killzone 3 on my since returned epson 3010 projector. Out of the 4 I would rate killzone number one by far! It is an amazing experience. Everything from falling snow to the level and relaoding your weapon is awesome. Batman only uses 3d for background to create depth like when standing on a building and or inside a large building. uncharted is ok, not as fancy as the other two IMO and mortal kombat is the worst.

I ditched the epson because of input lag and lack of black depth. I got a panasonic AE4000 now and have lost my 3d capabilities......

3d gaming is where its at! or should I say was.....

SOCOM 4 had virtually no crosstalk and has very good depth while keeping the overall image looking clean and sharp. Killzone 3 has good 3D as well as Resistance 3, but I did have a few instance of crosstalk (mostly dark, interior scenes). WipEout HD and Super Stardust HD are really good for non-FPS titles, and you really should give Tumble a shot.

BTW, if your TV has the ability to display fake 3D, I find that the PSN Marvel Pinball tables by Zen Studios look really good using it.

So I just played Wipeout HD and Super Stardust HD. Wipeout is just ok and Super Stardust is AWESOME...looks great. Resistance 3 and Killzone 3 are next on my list to try.

Motorstorm 3D Rift - should be available via PSN, is one of the best 3D games on PS3, and I haven't seen it mentioned yet in this thread.

Super Stardust HD and Wipeout HD are two that are must plays in 3D, imo. Other than that, I've tried a bunch of other games, but nothing has really blown me away. I've specifically avoided playing Uncharted 3, because I need to finish the 2nd game first, so I can't comment on Uncharted.

I've heard great things about the two MotorStorm games in 3D, especially Apocalypse. I did forget to mention Uncharted 3 though. They did an outstanding job with the depth perception in most areas. There are a few instances of cross talk, but as a whole the effect is awesome and makes the game more immersive.

Resistance 3 was ok but Killzone 3 was better. The snow in Killzone 3 was pretty cool.

When viewing 3D content each eye views the same image, but just slightly offset. The glasses used while viewing 3d "black out"a specific side in sync with the display so your eye only views the image it's supposed to see, this is at such a fast rate that you generally don't notice this black out happening.. Cross-talk is when the glasses the "black out" doesn't happen in sync or the display shows a little bit of the offset image to the wrong eye. It usually manifests itself as a ghost or halo around the 3D image.

It's when several people try to talk at once or over each other. Just watch any political pundit show for an example.

It's usually an issue with the display and is most prominent when there are bright images against a dark background, or vice versa. A given pixel near the transition may be black in the left eye image, but near white in the right eye image. However, the technology driving the pixel can't change from full bright to full dark fast enough (120Hz), and you have a residual image in the other eye. Both plasma and LED/LCD technologies are susceptible to this. There is no crosstalk on DLP displays. Some people think it's dependent on the game or movie, but only insofar as the content happens to have scenes with a lot of contrast. At least that's my understanding of it. I have a DLP, so no crosstalk, but I've seen it on the LG passive 3D displays, as well as the Samsung LCDs at Best Buy. I haven't had the opportunity to test a variety of material on those other sets though.

Thanks for the info guys.

I would be remiss if I didn't recommend Shadow of the Colossus HD for its outstanding 3D effects. The game play is perfectly suited for it as well. While it isn't a native PS3 game (they enhanced a classic PS2 title), it remains one of the most unique and enjoyable experience you'll play on the console.

I have every 3D game for the PS3. The best 3D game is Avatar the Game for 3D. It is stunning and the game is better then the reviews indicate. Next might be the God of War HD remakes and Uncharted 3.

But Avatar still has the crown in my book. It is amazing.

I just got a 3D TV. I tried out:

Super Stardust - very impressive
Motorstorm Apocalypse - not so impressive and I can see the resolution drop
ICO - barely noticeable.

I didn't expect much and it's lived up to that. I downloaded the Killzone demo but haven't tried it yet.

Ghost of Sparta in that one collection is pretty amazing in 3D. I was very impressed by the demo.

The Killzone 3 demo was pretty nice in 3D.

Anyone try MLB The Show 12?
