I just added a 3rd Panasonic Plasma to our household and after Googling for some info on the set I bought most of the links took me here. So I figured this must be the best on-line community for folks like us.
Introduction, I'm retired USAF hence my AVS userid. I'm a long time Corvette enthusiast and owner. I'm a long time member over at the Corvette Forum aka AFVETTE and currently own a 2007 Z06.
I just bought a TC-P60S30 from BB to outfit my Man Cave. As I said I also own two other Panasonic Plasma's:
1. TH-42PX60U bought Feb 2007 located in our Master Bedroom
2. TC-P65V10 bought Aug 2009 located in our Family Room
The TC-P65V10 is our primary daily TV for obvious reasons. It's spectacular. But the old 720P TH-42PX60U in the MB is impressive too.
Neither of these panny's have displayed ANY anomalies/issues (flickering, odd color blobs etc) just highly detailed, life like pictures with great contrast and shadow details.
Now for the reason I'm here, for both of my older panny's I found on-line user tweaks to enhance the video quality w/o actually getting them calibrated. I've surfed around the AVS forum and found several threads but many seem to be aimed at the other "x30" models.
So are there any recommended settings I can apply and what are the general thoughts/comments from actual TC-P60S30 owner's on this TV.
It's be used in our medium lit basement for casual viewing and gaming (PS3).
Cheers
Tom
