Hello from West Central Iowa! Been lurking for quite some time. Just getting ready to start a multi use room build and have a couple questions before I dive into a dedicated build thread.
1) What is the minimum recommended thickness for the foam board insulation? Will be applied to cement block basement wall. I believe I read 1 1/2" was the minimum but I have read so much I'm not sure if I'm imagining that or not.
2) How much space is recommended between the foam board and the framing for the walls?
That's all I have for now. All my demo and waterproofing is complete and I will be purchasing the foam board insulation this week. I think I'll start a build thread at that time...eventually, maybe, a pile of lumber pic?
I have attached the first draft of our layout. Looking at a theater/bar setup. Any suggestions on the bar layout are welcome. I'm not sold on how it is in the attachment.
