Minidsp power - finally a use for the switched power outlet on the back

Im waiting for my minidsp to show up via delivery but I had thought I would connect a USB power adapter to the switched power outlet on the back of my receiver to power it. Finally a suitable use for the switched power function on the back.

Any reason not to?

I'm gathering you're getting the balanced version? If I remember correctly the non balanced version doesn't need an external power source.
