While I've enjoyed the Wii (sporadically) over the years, the only reasons I've kept it this long are because of 1) Skyward Sword and 2) the wife having a hard time cutting ties with it, though she's merely a spectator in every game we've played except Mario Kart.
Now that Xenoblade Chronicles is slated for a NA release in a few months, I was wondering if those that have played the game consider it worth keeping the console.
As for my history/preferences, I grew up with old-school JRPGs (I count Lunar: Silver Star, Final Fantasy 4, and Chrono Trigger among my all-time favorites). Xenoblade Chronicles seems similar in the vein of Final Fantasy 12 (which I enjoyed in terms of gameplay) and Monster Hunter Tri, and has received really good reviews.
