Mack bulb replacement still a good deal?

I had a fine experience with getting a "free" replacement bulb on my RS20 before, and am considering buying it again for my upcoming Sony VW1000. Does anyone have a recent experience?
Is going through Tapeworks still the best method to buy?

I will back you up on how good a deal this is!    I had a Mack Warranty for my RS20, and now for my Sony VW1000; got two new lamps for the time I had the RS20, and have now gotten 1 for the VW1000.     If you plan to keep your projector for at least 2 yrs, then it's a no-brainer.
