Samsung UN55D8000 owners---do you like or love it?

For the owners of Samsung 8000 series LED's----how well do you like the TV? I like many, am looking to replace my old DLP. I love the Samsung 55" LED, but also like the Pani VT30's plasma. My buddy has a GT30 Pani and loves it. I personally like the look of the LED in 2D mode. I just want to hear from the people that have these tv's and what their thoughts are. Would you buy it again?

I do some gaming and majority of 2D watching, but after the kid and wife get bored and leave, I plan on watching 3D if it's appealing.

I have read a lot of it. It dates back to last year and is pretty long. I was looking for a opinions on the tv after having it for a while.

Ridiculous. It dates back to last year because the TV dates back to last year. Why start a new thread when the old one is a long way from being obsolete? You could just as easily have asked your question in the existing one.

The best design of TVs last year, great features, the best 3d TV of least year. Not the best uniformity which is the d8000 only con, newer batches fixed the banding mostly plus during normal content it isn't a real issue. The TV also has great black levels, not flashlight or clouding issues. For the price its a great TV, Alto you can find TVs with better pq I enjoy my d8000.

I did some more watching at BB and it's a hard decision. I noticed panasonic loops faster motion pictures like golf swings and so forth on their sets, and Samsung has movie trailers and interviews that are not as fast moving. Nice going BB.

As for posting in the official Samsung 8000 owners thread, it got one reply and is soon being covered up by other peoples posts.

I love Mine. One should take the time to calibrate it thought to get rid of the "Soap Opera Effect" and enhance picture quality from the out of the box settings. CNET has a bunch of calibrations settings on there website.

Funny how this thread was brought back to life just today, because yesterday I broke down and bought a Pani 55" VT50 tv from BB. It was a very hard decision over the Samsung.
