We just purchased a Black Magic Designs ATEM Television Studio (TVS) and most things work well. When using only HD sources (1080i) via HD-SDI or HDMI, everything works great.
Our problem is with SD. When in SD (NTSC) mode, SDI connections work fine, but when connecting a PC via HDMI, setting the PC to extended desktop, we can't select to ouput 480i. Connecting the same PC to a monitor via HDMI, we can output 480i just fine. We've tried this with two separate laptops.
It seems there is something in the ATEM TVS' EDID that won't allow us to change to a 480i resolution. I need to find a way to override this and output it anyway. I thought of using Powerstrip, but with Powerstrip installed on my laptop, it won't let me select Advanced Timings in order to add and force the resolution.
FWIW, the primary laptop has a nvidia GTX460M in it, running the latest drivers.
