Just accidentally refused my Avatar 3D disc.

Hi. Five minutes ago, a man from UPS came knocking at my door. Obviously, I didn't know what it was, since I did not have anything coming in from UPS. I did have a copy of Mad Men coming in, but that's through the post office.

The man said that I could simply refuse the package, and he will send it back. The package was very light, so I thought it must have been some advertising guide. Given that I didn't know what it was, and that it came from the "advertising checking bureau" I agreed to send it back.

Of course, my first inclination is to check online about this "advertising checking bureau" and find out how they knew my name+address. It turns out, I found something related to Avatar, and just realized that I refused my Avatar 3d disc.

Given that it is now going back, will I able to get my rebate? Or did I just lose out on $30+ dollars because I didn't want a package from an "advertising bureau."

You can still call them about it. More likely they'll have you go to your nearest UPS center or wherever the truck originated from. Show them proof that you live at that address and still get it back... especially if you get it done today after the truck returns. Be sure to call 1st.

I'm actually surprized you didn't try that 1st. You used your energy to post here instead. This isn't Twitter.

Thanks for this advice. I can't believe I didn't think of this.

I called UPS and they said they can't help me without a tracking number.

Now I have to call panasonic to try to get a tracking number.
