klipsch rf 62ii as rears?

I just got a pair of Rf 62ii over a month ago but now I wish I had gone with Rf 82ii. I have a friend looking for speakers too and willing to buy my 62ii. But should I just use the 62ii as rears in a 7.1 setiup? Can the Rf 62ii be used as rears or bookshelf speakers are better?

Yes, the RF-62 II's can be used as rear surrounds but, IMO, it's a bit of overkill to use towers for that purpose.

Using towers as surrounds is not necessarily overkill simply not as common in home theater.

I listen to quite a bit of multichannel music in addition to movies and having direct radiating towers sounds better for me.

My surrounds are the RF-82s and they work marvelously.
