Subwoofer porn. Nice. How big a room are those going to fill?

We are in the planning stages of building a new home. I bought them for an IB set up in a dedicated HT that will be about 30x17x10. I should have bought 4 more...

So due to a variety of reasons, I stuck with my original order of 2 Xmass' (Xmasi?).

I tried to get some Sonotube from Home Depot last night, but their book didn't list anything larger than 12", so they checked their suppliers site which stated sizes up to 24", at the perfect 12' length. I'll call the supplier on Monday to see if they can get the 24" size and ship it to my local HD.

That would put me at 2x 24" diameter columns, at roughly 18.5cf each after everything except the port - which will very likely be an 8" diamter unit around 4.5 feet long tuning into the low to mid teens.

Ok... I'm a happy camper!! Replacement came in and works perfectly!! Packaging also survived in one piece. Also bought 2 more so now I'm going to run 2 sealed dual opposed off of 2 NU1000's.

Neg 7 highs to neg 23 lows for the past 10 days.

What are you doing for cabs? (still feeling the effects of yesterday's festivities so my brain is a bit hazy and don't recall if you've touched on this yet)

I think I'm just going build some 6-6.5 cube cabs. Maybe 7.

No worries, here's what I'm thinking of doing:

2x 24" diameter columns with 24" sonotube, at roughly 18.5cf each after everything except the port - which will very likely be an 8" diamter unit around 4.5 feet long tuning into the low to mid teens.

Been so busy with work I haven't been able to call HD to order the sonotube yet :/

Ordered a 12 foot length of 24" Sonotube from Lowes today here in Canada (Toronto area to be precise) - $97 + tax.

It's getting special ordered from the US (none in the Canadian warehouse), and I put in a special request for the tube to be cut into two halves, we'll see if they can accomodate that. Hope so!

It'll probably take a couple weeks to arrive since they'll ship it with their incoming shipments, which gives the weather more time to warm up outside

Cool!! Mass effect 3 has take. Over my spare time. I really should try to build something this weekend. With a lot of elbow grease and some help forms friend I managed to repair 2 of the drivers mangled voice coils (crushed dust caps destroyed the top part of the vc).

Look forward to your build and impression.
