For that statement to happen the 13 NFLN games would have to be 26 different teams then addin the 6 thanksgiving teams & there are the 32 teams.
Since the cowboys always play thanksgiving that would fulfill their requirement so they wouldnt be on NFLN ever.
Thats a drawback for NFLN cause even when the cowboys arent a playoff team they still are a big tv draw -- 8 of the top 25 most viewed regular season games this year involved the cowboys.
Where are you quoting that from? The press release from page 1 says each team will play at least one primetime game, not necessarily Thursday night.
Also, I THINK, there will be NFL-N Thursday night games in weeks 2-15 (except Thanksgiving on NBC) PLUS one game on Saturday night in week 16 (probably the 22nd). That game has been the Dallas Cowboys each year since 2005 (and a road game every year but one). I guess, so the NFL Network can have a Cowboys game without having them play 2 Thursday games in a season. I can't think of a reason why they would have no Thursday or Saturday night game in week 16.
