I'm looking for a stand just like this

But I don't want to spend anything over 300 any suggestions?

BTW sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I didn't know where to put it.

Sonax manufactures a number of stands that seem aesthetically similar to one you posted. They are available in roughly the price ranged you specified. (Though, as far as I can tell from the picture, the stand you posted seems pretty large; it may be easier to find something in your price range if you're content with something in the 60 inch range.)

Sometimes when you first log onto avsforum, there's an ad at the top for standoutdesigns.com. Looks very similar.

I'm looking for the same thing (and in the same price range) for my 65" Plasma. Those standoutdesign cabinets are nice but the prices aren't even close to what the OP or myself are looking for.

Google this:

Sonax E-0062-BF Fiji 60-Inch TV Component Bench, Ravenwood Black

$200.00 on some sites.

You get what you pay for, made from compressed wood (aka partical board).

I like this one better but my center speaker won't fit. :~(

how big is your TV?

Sauder makes great stuff for their price range I just picked up the harbor view credenza and it looks amazing, well built (for MDF and for $150) and I can attest to their outstanding customer service.

Looks like something you could buy from ikea...

What is it in particular that you like about that stand? Only reason I ask is it looks like 90% of the tv stands I see when I walk into any warehouse store! Shouldn't be too hard to replicate that look...

...Now my Omnimount moda echo-- that's an entirely different look altogether.

50". Omnimount targets this stand as being able to mount up to a 50" set but you would have no problems fitting your 51" or even a 52" LCD as bezels have shrunk considerably over te last couple years.

Technically, you could put a 55" on it as the mount will hold the weight (it's rated up to 150 lbs) and there is plenty of room (I have another set of mounting holes ABOVE the ones I'm using for even better clearance if need be) but a 55" would undoubtedly extend beyond the edges of the stand-- an aestetic issue for some. I actually looked to see if I could fit a 60" on it and while it'd be tight it WOULD work... then my GF shot me down.
