I was looking for a program like dolby home theater v4 that i could use for my home theater PC. I am looking for a program that will create virtual 5.1 from my 2 channel music much like pro logic/neo 6, but on the computer. The reason i don't just use the pro logic setting on my receiver is that i would like to have more control over the settings. Thanks in advance for all the help!

You can try this one for free. I have not heard it. You get more adjustments with the paid version.

I used to like doing this but now I'm a guy who likes the sound as is...e.g if it's 2 channel audio, give it to me that way as either 2.0 or 2.1 (sub with two fronts). It just sounds better.

Either way, if you're not happy with software solutions there are plenty of hardware sound cards with various interfaces to do this, look at the C-Media chipped soundcards.
