Thanks Leo.

I deleted the ".txt" suffix but it still didn't work, so I downloaded **********, added the file and it started downloading. I'll seed when I get done.

The only thing to keep in mind is that DiskUtility can only burn an image file, it cannot burn a BDMV folder or author a Blu-Ray disk.

Anyway, not to be discouraged, I purchased Toast Titanium with Blu-Ray plugin. After selecting the main-menu's option for "BDMV folder", I dragged-and-dropped the "BD50" folder into it window, configured the write-speed to 2x, and hit the "burn" button. About 75 minutes later, the disc was done.

...

Just a remainder/observation; earlier on the thread mookieb recommended this software for Macs that supports UDF 2.5... and its FREE.

http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/Pages/English/home.html

The main issue when burning Bluray media and for it to play as Bluray is that it has to be burned with UDF 2.5.

Well, two full days and only 6.62GB downloaded. Looks like 7.94 uploaded though.

Any additional seeders out there anywhere?

Ok, I just jumped back in....connected to 10 out of the 17 peers @ 1.4 m b/s

Edit : If you're at 18.5%, using Bit Torrent 7.6.1 and Rochester.res.rr then I'm connected to you.

Yep, that's me. Thanks for the help!

Is it just me, or did interest/participation on this project/thread kind of die off? This is a terrific service and tool. I thought it might have alot more runway than it seems to be getting.

I am using Bit Torrent and I wondering - are there any settings I can tweak to increase the download speed?

Not sure with Bit Torrent but with UTorrent you can go to Options>Preferences>Bandwidth and set it to "0" to make it unlimited/unrestricted.

In additiuon to what SL stated, with uTorrent you can use a free accelerator called uTorrent Turbo Accelerator.

Available here : http://www.webspeeders.com/our-speed...celerator.html

When I used Bit Torrent in the past, I found that it used way too much of my PC's recources and slowed it down to a crawl. That may have changed in the last couple of years, but I'm completely happy w/utorrent.

Thanks shadowcaster, the site also has a Bit Torrent equivalent which I downloaded and put into use.

It seems to be helping, but the installer asked to install way too much stuff and snuck a browser search bar into Firefox and IE that took quite a bit of time to eredicate. The thing also pops a dialog box every 15 minutes asking for a Buy or Register choice. It will be removed seconds after the download is done.

Hi all, can 2 segments (Bass and Surround) be put together on a BD25? Also how or where is the settings to make it burn at a slow speed?

PS: thanks again superleo!

1) Not without re-mastering it.
2) In ImgBurn it's on the "Device" tab. Change the drop-down box near the bottom from AWS (automatic) to 1x or 2x.

Hi Kalani, thanks for the quick respond.
Another question, whats the best brand BD50 to get?
Jchin,

Take a look at my post 598. I ordered a Verbatim 5 pack last week from folks (my second order). Takes awhile to get here (7-10 days), but then they offer significantly lower prices.

The other advantage, as mentioned, is that the RE is rewritable/reusable.

Good luck.

I just finished downloading after a week and I am going to try and burn the DVD now.

Any decent known brand should be fine. Verbatim, Fuji, Sony, TDK, etc. I have a personal dislike for Maxell based on too many bad discs (DVDs and CDs, dunno about their BRs), so I don't buy them anymore, but a number of people here have used them and reported no problems with their demo discs.

I don't suppose anyone would be willing to help me out by burning a set of these for me? I don't have access to a Blu ray burner and would love to be able to use this most excellent project. I would of course cover any and call costs you may encounter. If you're not able to, do you know of anyone that is able to? Your help is hugely appreciated.

The reason for asking was that Maxell BD-RE-DL didn't have enough free space for scuba's demo. Anyway I purchased a Sony BD50, so good to go. Thanks again.

If you have/downloaded the full version you dont need the demo disc from files one. This one works in conjunction with the individual segments that conforms the full disc. These segments were released before the full disc was ready and can be burned to DVD DL media, so NO bluray burner is required for this project, so to speak.

If you still need the from files zip let us know it will take no time to download this file, just be clear that the segments are needed to Crete the full BD.

Actually, is IS big enough, but for some reason that particular disc needs some special handling due to some oddball decisions by Maxell on formatting. Check earlier on ScubaSteve's thread and you'll find discussions about that particular type of disc and what steps were needed to successfully burn a copy using it. (Yes, I know it's a big thread, but those of us who were following from the beginning will recall those discussions... they're buried in there somewhere.)

Regardless, this is not an issue with SuperLeo's disc, as it doesn't use every last drop of capacity on the disc, so things aren't nearly as tight. The Maxell funky formatting should not be an issue.

Yet another reason to avoid Maxell, as per my recommendations, at any rate.

My wife shut the PC down last night. I am seeding now.
I hate to say it, but I am bored with this disc (the blu-ray)...

Of course, that is because it is so awesome that I've played through the clips a bazillion times.

Heck, I was watching the clips before I even had my speakers set up. So much fun!

Anyone with a BD burner willing to burn the full Reference Disc to a BD50 for a modest fee? PM me if you would be willing. I can pay via paypal right away.

If you have written anything to the RE disc in the past you will need to do a FULL format before you can burn scuba's demo to the disc, a quick format doesn't free everything back up and leaves you a little bit short on space I had to do this with an RE Verbatim I used.

Same thing with the Maxell, except it comes with the "short" format out of the box, brand new. You have to do the full, deep format to "reset" the disc to full capacity.

Hi mrfatbill, Maxell RE was new out of wrapper. Did a full format and still was not enough space for scuba demo. End up burning scuba demo on a Sony BD50 DL and use Maxell RE on superleo demo.

Been seeding at 35 mb/s for a week or so. Averaging 8-10 mb/s UL to folks. Not sure why you could not see me. I am in the US using a VPN out of Cali. Will keep it going for at least another couple weeks, but may have to stop after that. If anyone needs it after, PM me and I can turn the seed back on.
