Anybody want to send me a copy? I would GREATLY appreciate it!
EDIT- Really, really would be great. Thanks.
EDIT 2- I use a PS3 as my BD player. Would the disc work?

128 MB of RAM? How did you even post on this forum!?

So I am not sure if I had a case of "beginners luck", but I just got a blu ray burner and some regular 25g media, so I figured I would try my hand at one of the single discs. I decided on the Bass disc- followed the directions to the letter (although I didn't see a "certificate" folder in this particular one...) Burned and tested- PERFECT. (using an 80GB PS3, original style)

SO- I go to do my second disc- the Animation disc. Same procedure, except i get an "invalid disc" error. Patched from the backup folder, same result? Am I missing something, or is it just this "hit and miss" with the playing of burned BR on PS3?

Thanks for any input- loving the bass disc- HUGE KUDOS to the OP for providing this! Just hope I can sort out the rest...

So question....

I just saw this thread for the first time and the zip files linked in the first few pages aren't actually zip files. They are .exe files.

Is something wrong with the links or am I missing something?
Update- I have all other discs working BUT the animation disc- It still gives me an "invalid disc" error. Not sure what else to try. Enjoying the others, though. biggrin.gif

Are you meaning the disc "tracker" links?

Yea, I figured they were links to the torrent files in a zip file, but they are all executable files.

Just checked the links, it should take you to a download page where you should click the download button ONLY. And it's indeed a zip file.

You might have a corrupted download. I would try to download it again. If you are burning the segments to BD25 there are no compatibility issues with any BD player the compatibility issues come into play when burning to DVD-DL.

Once you un-zip the files you should have the links for the file downloads. I would suggest you install all the necessary software first. Then you can just double click on the file trackers and the torrent client will start the download.

That link in the first post only sends me to an EXE file. If it needs UAC its likely malware but I don't want to find out. I checked the source there is no zip file for download. Can someone put the torrent on another download site that doesn't try to infect my pc?

this the link... It takes me to the download page where you should be clicking "Low Speed Download" only. If you see any other buttons to fix or speed your computer DO NOT click on those.

Alternate Link...

I'll add it to the first page as "Alternate Link" too.
Hope this helps.

Thanks! I will download that disc again and re-burn. Really digging the others- I had the bass disc in and hadn't checked my volume and walked into the kitchen- have a feeling my neighbors were wondering what H$%% was going on during the depth charges sequence. biggrin.gif

Well , no go on the Animation disc - I get an "invalid disc error code 800XXXX" - have no idea what's going on. May just have to wait till I pick up some 50G media and give the complete disc a try. The others all work flawlessly. Strange indeed.

Get at least one BD-RE. More expensive, but lots cheaper in the long run than a set of coasters.

So earlier this evening I burnt the Visual one and replaced all the files for the PS3 version and worked fine.

Did the same thing with the animated disc and in my PS3 it said the disc couldn't be read.

Was hype about watching the demo disc only to see that - anyone else have this issue?

I don't have a blu-ray burner, but I would like to see all of the content without swapping discs. I have a PS3. Is it possible to write the BD50 image to a large USB flash drive or an external USB hard drive in a way that the PS3 will read it like a blu-ray?

It's definitely possible. I have this file on a large flash drive and play through my Oppo BDP-105. I'm sure the PS3 can play the file as well.

Do you see the menus too? Or do you just see the video files themselves?

Yes indeed. Selecting the file loads right to the amazing menu screen (with a great audio/visual menu "background" that will have your surround setup working before you even select a demo category.

I guess the PS3 doesn't work that way. I loaded the BDMV onto the root of a FAT32 USB Flash Drive. I loaded it in the PS3, hit Triangle to make it show all, and then was able to browse the file directory. I don't know what to do from there. I tried launching the files in the Stream folder. Some launched, but didn't have sound. Others didn't launch at all. I then tried replacing the index.bdmv and movieobject.bdmv using the ones in the Index and Movie files folder, but that didn't help. I stuck it in the PS3 and got the same result.

Anyone in here have a bluray burner and willing to burn me a copy of this BD50 as well as the Scubasteve demo disc?

Obviously I'm willing to pay you, can be done through paypal. PM me if you could help out.

Also if this is not allowed here mods just let me know and delete this post.
