YAMJ is a program that you run on a PC or MAC that builds some webpages. The webpages are the GUI. Typically those web pages go on your NAS.

If you have a working YAMJ install. put eversion in the skins dir, edit the movie_jukebox.properties file to use the eversion skin. re-run YAMJ thats it.

It's all very well documented.

I was told to install YAMJ in my WHS and not on my PC 2 years ago when I first installed yamj. Maybe because the server is windows based? I'll install it on my PC this time around. Just was a little confused.

WHS = Windows

you need to install it on your PC or you can leave on the WHS

either way it works the same

BTW: my popbox V8 arrived and its a POS. bad hardware and the software wont play a single lossless audio MKV file I have. It plays .ts and .iso with lossless audio and MKV with AC2 but a MKV with TrueHD or DTS-MA just hangs. ARG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow really!? Mine just arrived today too. I haven't had a chance to hook it up yet. dbone here on the forums did a review on it and it seemed to be pretty solid for him. I only rip DVD's to MKV. My BD's are .TS or Folder Rips.

I've been using my PopBox v8 w/o issues since I got it early December. Plays my 1:1 Blu-ray rips (to MKV) w/hd audio just fine.

Could be; updated firmware first thing. My movies are on my HPSERVER (WHS v1) and streamed via SMB. I've only had occasional hiccups, so been trying NFS over last few days. Working well so far.

so on a trueHD disk I remove the DD.

My C-200 plays em fine. Even my A-110 plays em with no audio. The popbox hangs. I have the latest november firmware. I tried various MKV's built with various versions of makemkv over the last year. so its not some incompatibility with just one mkv.

are you outputting 24p?

just trying to think of what might be different.

Just wondering if you saw the patch a poster dropped on the XBMC forums enabling bitstreaming of HD audio formats.

I'm having issues with my PopBox V8 with Eversion. The skin comes up an works fine but I cant play back any movies. It says "could not play" then goes back to details page.

If I go into network media and open up my video file lists I can play movies just fine.

My a200 is playing movies just fine with eversion. Anyone know what going on?

common issue has to the due with the player path in Library.XML file

Here's how I recommend solving it.

Create a network share on the POPCORN HOUR pointing to some content.

For Example, let's say we create a share called "media". Doesn't matter where it points too, or if its SMB or NFS etc...

test using that share that you can browse to a file and actually play it successfully.

If not, get that working before messing with YAMJ.


Then in your library.xml file you have an entry like this....

Getting a dune etc is going to be a pain for me because I am heavly invested in using ember and XBMC NFO files for metadata management across Boxee, XBCM, and YAMJ and none of the Dune jukeboxes do XBMC NFO files. They said they would ship it from CA so hopefully it might arrive this week.

i use the SuperMicro 8 port SAS/SATA PCIE x 4 card....

The SAS cables de clutter my case as I can run one cable for each 4 drives and the connectors lock right into to my Norco 4220 backplane. The make break out cables to connect to traditional sata connectors. NOTE: These cards don't come with the correct cable. you need to buy those seperately and get the right ones for your application.

My share name in the A200 is "myvideos" I have that as my share name in the popbox also. I even tried putting "myvideos" in the playerpath but didn't work. Should I try to rerun yamj configure and start from scratch?

I'm putting together my unRaid server tomorrow. I am hoping I don't run in to sharing issues However, I am starting mine from scratch. The only thing I am saving are my BD rips (only 45 so far) that I've completed so far. I will be keeping about 30% of my SD collection (300+ so far) since a lot of it is very old, and my family do not watch it anymore.

Ok got the Popbox working. I had to change the playerpath to:

smb://Hpserver/Videos/

Now I am noticing the remote is not working right with Eversion.

I need the subtitle button to work since forced subs don't work properly with PCH/Popbox.

I'm using a PCIe card from MonoPrice that was recommended on the unRAID Forums. I needed 2 of them and they were only $12.

Glad you got it working. you used a different approach. I find that approach causes more problems in the initial setup.

to fix subtitles change eversion to use the PCH player instead of the Eversion player. Its an advanced setting. This should fix it. The eversion player lacks some of the features of the stock player. I dont know why there even is an eversion player but there is.

I contacted Accident the maker of Eversion about that and he said the issue has been fixed with newer version of Eversion. So I'll just upgrade and hopefully that fixes the problem.

Got the rest of my unRAID server pretty much built. Just waiting for a new PSU to come in and I should be ready to power it on.

I put together all the components for my unraid server today. I was getting excited cause all I needed was to install the OS and do all the configurations only to find out, my mobo doesn't have HDMI hook up and I don't have any DVI or older style connectors

So, I've got to wait till the afternoon so I can borrow this stuff from my mother-in-law.

I need to manage all my cable a little better though...probably buy some shorter sata cables, but first I've got to make sure it works

Are you hooking your unraid server to a monitor?

Can't you just connect it to your home network and access it through a pc/Mac in the house to do all your configurations?
