Everything looks and sounds good except for the stupid grey under the scorebar. NBC dropped it for NHL coverage and should have done the same for NFL. Also, the damn thing is 1px short of reaching the bottom of the screen, so I see a lot of flicker on that bottom line (TV set to 1:1 mode). Watching on KXAS in Dallas (O&O, 1 SD sub+mobile DTV) via FiOS.
Nice downgrade to 30fps for the half-time show did anyone else notice? ...YUCK I always look forward to the live action but its madonna so... Most half-time shows are not downgraded as such. If i'm wrong someone correct me please.
Amen, ABC. Slight mosquito noise and slight macroblocking, but it's all the nature of 1080i and one 16:9 subchannel. Excellent picture quality and sound. WMAQ-DT OTA, Chicago. You folks watching on Comcast in metro Chicago, our audio levels are fine, FYI.
It didn't cut well, at least to my eyes; it looked like they weren't all 24 which was annoying.
Yea I was being facetious I knew 24p or their attempt...When they zoomed out it was back to 60fps it was annoying. It made Madonna move sloooow I mean she's like 50 right? she knows how to move faster than that! she's from "The D" Big props to Chrysler for that spot with Clint...Not better than last years campaign with the whole "Imported From Detroit" but I'll take it
I just don't get 24p... I thought halftime PQ was very distracting and looked "weird" for the lack of a proper technical term.
Thats cuz they went from "Live action" 60 frames-per-second to a "movie-like" 24fps...If you've ever watched a live recorded concert on dvd or bluray it would have the same effect...I'm wondering who made that call the director? The suits @ NBC? or Madonna's people hmmm..Not sure if you knew the difference if you did my apologies
