Advice on a 47" on a $1000 budget

I am in the market for a new tv and have setteled on a 47" TV. I have a roughly 1000 dollar budget and have been leaning toward an led equipped TV though I am not set in stone on that. I will be using the TV for blu ray watching light gaming (ps3 computer) and streaming media files either through HDMI or soon Intel widi. I have an onkyo 260 receiver and jamo 5.1/7.1 surround set up.

You just missed out on the Samsung UN46D6900 for $1099 with 4 pairs of glasses. That was last week at Best Buy

I posted this on a different thread on accident my bad. I'm a posting noob. I'm not sure if I can post this or not but I would just like to share this deal with everyone and have them critique it.

Also was the samsung a better tv than this sony?

3d is not a big deal for me at all but might be a fun addition. I mainly just want a great 2d picture without too much Soap Opera Syndrome

The Samsung is better for cloud watching and flashlighting. My 40D6000 was promptly returned due to this. Cold, hard truth Samsung. They fumbled this years models.

I'd say the Sony would probably fit me better. I don't care about apps really as I have a ps3 for netfilx and a media server with 10TB of storage for streaming. I just want the best quality picture for the price. I may head over to the sony tv thread and ask about it's pc desktop performance.
