looking for help-FIOS to my projector without a STB..options?

Hi all!
So i have yet to mount my projector on the wall (my shelf should be delivered tomorrow hopefully)..but I'm using the projector anyway--sitting on a small table (much lower than it will eventually be, but no issues due to lens shift..).

So its hooked up to a Yamaha RX-V467BL receiver, using HDMI. I have my xbox feeding into the Yamaha also via HDMI.

I recently moved my FIOS STB (set top box) to a different room, and left the existing coax cable in the first room. I know if I plug this existing coax into some sort of tuner, I can get the basic cable channels, which for now, will be "good enough".

What's the best way to get this feeding into the receiver, so I can then get it on the projector?

I'm sure one option is a PC with a TV tuner card, with an HDMI output.
Any cheaper alternatives?

Call them up and tell them you have been a customer for x number of years and you want the free DVR for life that they are offering.
Problem solved.

If the other room is within 30' and you can run an hdmi cable, you could buy a 2 port matrix that would send HDMI to the set in the room where the box is and to the receiver. However, speaking from experience, changing channels is a pain if you do not have some sort of RF remote.
