Since the PLED-W500 is essentially the same projector as the ML500 I was hoping you could answer my questions, seeing as you are the only one that has posted on the HDFury forums in regards to using the 3D Fury with one of these LED clone projectors.

Also, my previous question : The Viewsonic PLED-W500 projector that I have suffers from HDMI sync issues and frequently is searching for a signal when minimizing and maximizing windows, especially YouTube and Windows Media Center. So I'm wondering if you experienced this with the ML500 and if the 3D Fury resolved it?

it accepts 1080 signal using the hdfury,but after it's down-scaled to 720 by hdfury
this problem is unique to ml500,while the acer k330 is fine,it does the down-scaling by it self.
the ml500 problem is firmware related as I think(Could be very wrong),remember they once posted a firmware update that was removed immediately from their site,and they never addressed this problem again,its even a problem with PC.
referring you guys to the hdfury forum,is just to help you get the best answers from their tech. stuff, this is where I get my answers related to their products.
not an expert guy,so my answers could be misleading,wrong,not well expressed,just trying to safe you the troubles you get by taking the answers from the wrong guy.

Otherwise though, it does work well and you have had no issues? Are you using it to game with your PS3 or to watch movies?
If movies, does everything seem fine? No lip sync issues?
If gaming, I wonder if you notice if the 3D Fury seems to add any input lag?

my sons are using PS3,not using ml500 for anything,just buying them(av products), then resell them where I leave(very small home business) ,I have to give answers to people buying them,therefore,I try each product,explore their potentials.
for my own leisure time,I have the Mitsubishi HC7800D
all that I cared about at the time of testing is playing from bd-player+decent 3d,didn't pay attention to lip sync issues.it was the 3dfury that I was testing not the ml500.

I'm using the fury on a kuro plasma with monstervision glasses and emitter for games and movies on ps3 and xbox. It works excellent after tweaking the emitter settings. Highly recommend the product.

Are the Monster Vision Glasses synching to your TV at 30 frames per eye then?

I'm thinking if it is only at 30 frames per eye, it might not work very good for gaming. Does it seem to add any controller input lag?

How hard was it to get the Monster Vision Glasses synched. Something along the line of "a lil trial and error" or "major pain in the @$$"?

@rugrash it was easy to sync to the emitter, but it getting the best settings just took a bit to dial in. I did the adjustment through the pc VIP tool. I used different media to dial it in. Started with cars2 then a Alice in wonderland trailer, specifically the portion where the cat pops out. I went back and forth between the 2 movies to make sure settings worked for both.

As far as gaming it is 30 frames per eye and I am not noticing any lag. I am playing single player games at the moment (uncharted 3, Gears 3). I'd imagine in multiplayer there may be some lag but I can't speak to that yet as I have not tried that yet. On a whole I love the device and it was well worth the investment.

I have an epson 8500ub and I am interested in this product. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how bad the flicker is and if anyone has gotten headaches from using this. Also how dim does this make the projector look. My room is light controlled basement, but it does have a 133 in screen. The projector is mounted about 17 feet away. So far at best buy I have seen demos and I am always disappointed. The sports scenes are always flickering almost like a flip book and there is a lot of smearing. Is this just there setups or is this what I can expect. If so I'm not interested.

Hey, I decided to try this thing out. I'm hoping this will work to where I won't have a problem, but I got a feeling I'm not gonna like the flicker they talk about. Anyway, I ordered it and I will let you know how it works for me. I will try it on both of my projectors and my 50in tv and give you a heads up. I'll be using it on an epson 8500ub, sanyo z2000, and a panasonic 720p 50in tv from a few years ago. I just put in the order so it will be a few days. Here's crossing my fingers I'll like it.

Thanks JHunt, please let me know, I am ordering mine Friday, since I got the glasses any way. What glasses will you be using? I did my homework and heard monster is the best for less flickering or no flickering in some cases, they have the fastest shutter speed glasses from what I read.

I use monster with mine. They work great. To get the best results I updated to the curtpalme firmware and tweaked the settings while the emitter was connected to a computer while viewing 3d content on my plasma. If you are planning on updating the emitter firmware don't do it while the emitter is connected to the fury as I heard one person on the board here have a problem doing that. All in all I am extremely happy with the 3dfury and highly recommend it.

I bought their emitter and glasses. I had hoped that since it was their box they designed it for it should work the best. So I'll find out when it gets here in a few days

Good news and bad news. Good news the hdfury showed up. Bad news, the glasses didn't. I have since found out that the glasses have been delayed (AGAIN). I understand wanting to make the product the best it can be, but to show on your webpage that it is shipping a month ago and not change it when the product was delayed is not acceptable. I ordered it under the impression the glasses were ready to go. After reading today on their forum the pre-order glasses will be shipped out by may 24th. This means I am going to have a long wait it seems for my glasses. Very bad business practice if you ask me. LOTS of upset customers over there and understandably so. Anyway, yesterday I ordered some monstervision glasses just because I wanted to see the differences between the Hd Fury glasses and the monster glasses. Now I guess they will be the only glasses I have when they come in. So I won't be able to report anything until then. Sorry for the delay, but obviously not my fault.

cool, no problem. They will probably be the same as the monstervision max anyway, they are all branded and made by bit cauldron. I am ordering my 3dfury tomorrow (pay day lol) and I already had the monster glasses a week in advance for 59.99, got 2 of them and may buy two more!

It was stated on the 3D Fury forums, that they are "not rebadged" Bit Cauldron glasses. Hopefully, theyll be as good as they say they will be.

Im curious as well, Im not sure how much better they can be as the monstervision ones are excellent.

+1 I am curious as well, I just preseed the button on the 3DFury!!! ordered it this morning, now I have a 7.1 set up but an older Sony receiver so to get 3D and 7.1 my wonderful PS3 wont cut it, I am gonna have to get that panny that has dual HDMI to get my 3D picture and 7.1 lossless audio, more spending, ugg!

Well, I also took the plunge....I have a 5010 Kuro, and thanks to advice from Zeedub (thanks again, man!) and his positive impressions of the unit on his Kuro, I could not resist. I also ordered two pairs of the MonsterVision glasses. I hope they all arrive about the same time, I am about to bust at the seams to set this up and see how it all works.

Spinster you may be able to tell me about your experience before I can tell you. I ordered my monster glasses on the 9th and still only shows them as order processed. UGGH. Heck I even went to best buy to find different glasses just to play with it, but the only thing they had with an emitter was a sony package that was 400 bucks. NOT HAPPENING. Anyway, if I ever get these glasses I'll let everyone know my experience.

yep, I should get my 3Dfury by Tuesday or Wednesday, I went ahead and ordered 2 more monster glasses so I can have at least 4 pairs for friends and family. I am sooo excited, can't wait to watch 100" screen in 3D, right now I have my LG LW5700 and watching passive 3D on a 47", it has been most pleasurable, but to watch it on my main home theater set up is gonna be grand. I love 3D stuff, don't care what anyone says 3D is awesome when done right!!

today one of my friends brought his benq w6000 to test it with 3dfury,we tried with dlp glasses,it didn't work,sure if we managed to make the proper dip configuration it could have been working,any way we tried the monster with some tweaking and the results was just amazing.

I just got my 3Dfury delivered here at work, can't wait to go home and test it with my Epson 8350 and the Sony PS3 and Directv 3d channels. , I am so excited, can't wait to get out of work!! Jhunt I will let you know how they work with my Monstervision Max, I charged those bad boys up last night so they will have full charge and firmware updated the transmitter/emmiter.

looking forward to your results. I just hope they are good. I'm still a bit leary of what it will actually do. Hope is works good.
