Well I played with it a bit, it works it does give you 3D, but I think I screwed up, I got confused as to what the lights meant and I threw it out of wack, the duty cycle and the shutter cycle is way off, it is a bit of a pain to sit or stand there and try to tweek it. So I will plug in the other emmiter from the second set of glasses and update and sync it to the glasses and not touch the emmiter until I understand how to set it to tweeking mode carefully. So hopefuly I'll go in dept with my results. I did notice you can tweek out the flicker and try and control the ghosting, but again I think I was in the tweeking mode and screwed up the first emitter lol. I did also set my brightness on the pjay 1 notch and set it on normal not econo and it gives it a real good uniform brightness not dark at all and very clear glasses, I will update more.

I'm not having much luck with this at all. Flickering is terrible and motion is a mess unless it is very slow. I'm positive that LCD projectors are just not compatible to work well with this. I'm going to test it more but yesterday was a pain in the but. I'm need a picture that doesn't flicker and is smooth. If I can't get this to work in the next day or so I'll have to send it back.

yes flickering is terrible, but if you can put it under control it works. Here is the thing about flickering, it's different for everyone's eyes. I worked hard on getting the flicker non-existant and when I had it that I could not see it, I called in my GF and had her put the glasses on and she can still see the flickering, I was like what? then I tweeked it more and I saw nothing, yet she can still see it and was getting a headache, well I was okay with it as someone said in the thread here and there there will be slight flicker. I am on the fence on returning it, I still haven't had a good quality time to sit and play with it, hopefully this weekend. Now on another 3D note, I do own an LG 47" passive 3D TV and my GF loves it, she gets no flicker and no headaches, no 59.99 glasses. Owning both I would choose passive, but I just wanted to turn my 100" into 3D so as to have my own Imax 3D home theater, but I can always fall back in my LG so I won't miss out on the 3D. Jhunt let me know how it goes with you.

I have been using the device for nearly 2 months now and I have gotten used to the minor flicker I get. I am on a plasma which the fury seems to give better results possibly because of the darkness of the black level compared to a projected image. Sorry to hear your having a tough time with it. Have you tried to tweak it via the computer rather then the joystick?

When I watch anything it has to be the best it can be or it will bug the crap out of me. To get rid of flicker I basically had to turn the shutter speed so far down that I only had one light lit on the monster vision emitter and even then it was still present. I did get to where it could show decent 3d, but it was never great. Always some ghosting either above or below. The constant brightness change from the flickering during movement would make it seem like a strobe light show. It seems LCD at 60 hz is a bad idea for this. My plasma which is a pany from a few years back that is only 720 was actually worse than the projector which was odd. I figured it should be better than the lcd but it wasn't. I believe this product probably does work pretty well for higher frame rate tv's and projectors, but at least for me it did not work consistently. I will be returning mine. It was too much of a pain to set up the glasses. I notice that most people who are doing well with this are owners of DLP projectors.

I contacted 3Dfury company, all you have to do is go to the site and email them that you want to return it, they will send you RMA number and the steps. When I emailed and asked about it the guy said I had 30 day from date of purchase to return it for refund. You got yours about a week before me so you have time. I have a nice long weekend so I will play it one more time and decide if will return mine.

Wow, this thing is gonna cost me close to $90 bucks to return, since the company is based in Tiawan, I have to send it back on my dime for a full refund. So fair warning to anyone who wants to try this product. This thing is sent to you internationally not local. So if you have to return it, they give you 30 day refund but OUCH you have to pay for international shipping and you loose around $90 bucks!! I wish I knew that going in it wasn't a local company.

Not GOOD! I do have to say that I bought a panasonic bdt 220 3d blurry player the other day and I did notice it makes a difference what your input is. It helped with the flickering and I could get a really nice looking image without ghosting. It still flickered but was much improved to the point that it was watchable with dark content. Since I have a projector (epson 8500ub) even with all lights out and in brightest mode the picture after adjusting the glasses is still too dim for me. I do think though that if you have a regular tv that is 120 htz or more that this may be a solution. I just think my epson at 60 htz doesn't do well, but the box does seem to work. It can't fix my 60htz refresh rate. I would have to echo sentiments above that it would have been nice to know it would cost about 90 bucks to send this back. Just for the heck of it I'm gonna plug it into my sanyo z2000 just to see if the flicker is different.

I was wondering about that, that maybe I needed to hook up my 3D Sony bdp580 that is connected to the LG passive 3D to the fury then to my 60hz Espon, but I am just gonna cut my losses and send that back a long with the Monster vision I bought, already got return auth # for both. BTW if you got the glasses on line make sure you tell them there was no indication of a final sale because they tried to pull a fast one and say no refund on clearance items sold from outlet. My packing slip does not say anything about final sale or closeout, so CSR went ahead and checked and is giving me a full refund. Again you have to pay to ship it back to Monster.

yes it was. I saved $15.00 on shipping and used the UPS account from my job, I in turn just right a check to accounting to pay them so the shipping was only $80.00 not $95.00 it's off to Tiawan, at least they give refunds. Very expensive experiment.

Well just checked the tracking, they got their 3Dfury back, that was quick from Phoneix, AZ to Taiwan it only took 3 business days on world express saver from UPS. Ah I should get my refund at any time now. Monstercable got their glasses back as well, so as soon as I get both refunds, it's an Ipad New (3rd gen) I will be purchasing for my wifey. dang why does she get an Ipad? belated anniversary present

I just wanted to post this experience for future buyers of the 3dfury, it works but not that great on 60hz projectors, too bad oh well time to move on, good luck Jhunt!!

no I have not gotten my refund. I emailed the guy I was talking to on how to send back the unit. I asked him what would be the ETA on my refund back to paypal account, which sucks because paypal you would have to request it to go back into your checking account from the paypal account which takes another few days, so you returned yours as well. let me konw when you get your refund, I will let you know as soon as I get mine.

Okay Mr. Jhunt I got my refund to paypal @ 2:33am this morning, transfered it back to my bank account, looks like it takes a week for a refund, as they received it last Friday., good luck with your refund it should be soon.

Got my 3D Fury yesterday. Shipped from Taiwan Wednesday got it Thursday in NY. Incredibly fast service. Set it up and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. A quick post on their forum and had help within minutes! 3D is now working from my fat PS3 to my Qumi. I am very happy so far. Watched a bit of the IMAX Under the Sea disc and my wife and kids were amazed. This product really seems to work great with DLP 3D ready projectors. No flickering at all on mine. Even though the Qumi is rated terribly dim, the brightness isn't a problem in a dark room on my screen made of black out cloth.

have both fury glasses and monster vision 3d..will set up in about a week for comparision.Without even turning on or tuning i can state
that the fury 3d glasses are much lighter and comfortable than the monster3d glasses. the fury glasses have >500 settings to match your needs.
the plus for Monstervision is the frames which can help in a brighter environment as they can block some side light. will need time to match the emitters to each matching
glasses. using a pioneer elite FD-150 to eval

@jare I have it working on Kuro 5020 and it is excellent. There is minor flicker in bright scenes which does not bother me but the 3d is excellent.

yep monstervision glasses and I calibrated them with the PC tool. All in all I'm extremely happy with the Fury, I tolerate some minor flicker to have 3d on my Kuro smile.gif after a couple minutes the flicker is barley noticeable but it depends on the person. My wife and I have no complaints.

Can someone please help me?

I just received my 3DFury today and have it connected to my Viewsonic Pro8200 (60Hz) projector. I have my PS3 connected to it, and when setting up the PS3 video settings, it was recognized as a 3D display. However, whenever I try to view 3D content (Super Stardust HD), my MonsterVision emitter doesn't recognize the signal, and the glasses don't shutter. Also, there doesn't appear to be a 3D image on the screen, with no double image or anything. I am becoming very frustrated about this.

Did you reset your display settings on the PS3? Need to set it as 3d capable then when you play a 3d game you need to sometimes go into the game menu and switch it to 3d mode. Try a couple 3d trailers on VUDU and see if that works as well.

Got my replacement 3DFury Friday and finally had a chance to test it out. So far it's not exhibiting any signs of overheating, or whatever was causing the problems I was having with the first one.
