Dead Shadows - New French Horror!

Looks like The Thing + Slither + The Signal and it's FRENCH! How can you go wrong?

http://www.deadshadows.com/

Chris is a young man whose parents were brutally killed 11 years ago, on the same day Halley's Comet could be seen from earth. Tonight a new comet is going to appear, and everyone in his building is getting ready for a party to celebrate the event. There's even an apocalypse theory going around. As the night falls, Chris starts to discover that people are acting strange - and it seems to somehow be connected to the comet. People are becoming disoriented and violent, and it doesn't take long before they start mutating into something from beyond this world. In a fight for survival, Chris has to try to escape from his building with the help from some other tenants - but will they make it out alive?

Cool. Hopefully somebody will resurrect this thread when the BD comes out.

Good call! This sounds very similar. All this is missing is the cutie cheerleader and her sister.

For some reason, this sounds kinda like a variant of the Korean "The Host."

Considering I own "The Host," yeah, I like it too.

Looks like it could have potential so long as it doesn't attempt to climax with an overabundance of CG creatures.

In other meteor news:

Shout! Factory has acquired from DC MEDIAS the U.S and Canadian distribution rights to popular French horror action thriller DEAD SHADOWS. In this deal, Shout! Factory secured extensive rights to DEAD SHADOWS, including home entertainment, digital and broadcast for cross-platform releases. Shout! Factory plans a strategic rollout of the film on all packaged media, electronic-sell-through (EST), video-on-demand (VOD), subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) and television.

DEAD SHADOWS is set to hit U.S and Canadian home entertainment marketplace and a variety of digital entertainment platforms later this year.

Excellent, I will keep and eye on this.

Finally dumped Blockbuster since they just closed my local, very close store and went to Netflix. Been trying to get Dredd and Werewolf: beast among us and have been no go with BB. I will have both two days after opening an account with Netflix. See ya Blockbuster...
