The 4:3 AR was surprising, especially since that made much of the riffing material (like Jersey Shore) letterboxed. I guess it was letterboxed on MTV anyway.

Buy these now before new versions come out. Historically the Beavis and Butt-head collections have suffered (or been improved, depending on your opinion) by strange bits of censoring. The episodes in the Mike Judge Collections have several jokes removed that were in the Time-Life collections.

Yeah, I don't understand why they went 4:3.. Also, most of the commentary was in upconverted SD.... At least the main episodes are in HD and it looks like a pretty big upgrade... I thought most of the episodes were pretty good too...

The episodes did look excellent and there were some hilarious ones. At times it seemed like the show had never gone off the air.
