When do companies usually release 2012 models? what are you eying?

i am in the market for a 50-60" tv either LED or plasma.

when does sharp, sony and samsung and panasonic release new models usually?

do anyone have any information on new2012 models with pricing ideas? i keep searching these forums but cant find anything.

should i wait or buy a 2011 model.

im currently looking at the sharp 60le633.

my other TV is a sony kdl 55nx720 which i enjoy alot.

I work in the electronics dept. of a large Sears store in central CA. New models start to arrive from late February thru mid May, with some high end stuff coming in even later. Initially new model prices are higher than equivalent previous year sets, come down a bit after a month or so and stay stable until the holiday season.

Unless there's a specific upcoming model with some compelling new feature not available on current sets you're better off financially getting an outgoing model.

U work at Sears? no way, didn't know that. So do I in central Tx. We should be getting the new 2012 availability list soon. Been waiting for it. 99% of our tvs r discontinued and I need to be able to order some tvs since we cant do anything for the older models.

Sonys prices r already out n got listed in the forum.

Most of the 2012 models will get released March-April. May-June usually release the bigger models 60"-80".

I posted some links to released 2012 pricings but the internet freedom of speach soup Natzi's quickly deleted it. LOL. Can anyone PM me forums that do not do this? I appreciate the moderation and keeping the forums clean for us but sometimes its just to much for what I'm looking for.

You can head over to the Sony website a preorder the new KDL-46HX750. Ship date shows "Available on or about 02/27/2012. We will email you when product ships."

I was at HHGreg about an hour ago and saw the new Samsung EH6000. The displays seem to have gotten thick this year, at least with the 4000 & 6000. But I was pleasantly surprised that Samsung is ditching their glossy screens. The display was more semi-matte and looked really good. Most people will have a problem with this new thick bezel and display depth thought.

I was so close to buying the Sony 60EX720 at $1799, but I had to pass b/c the manager was a total d*CK.

Just found out they have the UN55ES6100 and it is the 2012 equivalent of the UN55D6000. It is still thin. Thank god. The EH6000 model must be economical version.
