Need new 51-55" tv. 3d but open to either led or plasma

I've looked at both of those and they are very solid. I don't think you would be disappointed with either one. In my case, I have a ranch style home with a huge living room so I could afford to fill some space and needed a bigger screen without breaking the bank so I am about 99% sure I am getting a Mitsubishi DLP. That said if I was looking for something for my bedroom I would absolutely be looking at that Samsung or Panny. They would just get swallowed up in my living room and I'm not spending $5k on a TV. Plus, I am very into 3D (already have Avatar 3d DVD lol) and a big DLP is the best source for that material.

I'm also going to buy a 55" 3d soon and was going to look for discounts on 2011 models. This will also be in a living room next to windows. I was thinking the lg6500 (for passive tech and cheap glasses) but seems folks are getting led edge lit dirty spots and light leakage so now i'm considering plasma also.
