Is it safe to say that these two movies have a constant or at least mostly consistent 3D presence then, even if it more of a depth thing than pop-out type stuff?

I was very disappointed in the 3D release of Star Wars that I saw in the theater last month. It had very little 3D depth and was blurry looking to me. Don't know if it was the theater or what, but I have no interest in spending hundreds of dollars on glasses to view that crap at home.....

Avatar and Hugo both have very good depth pretty much throughout the movie, but not a lot of pop-out, although there is some. Those viewers that want everything in the picture to be hopping out into their laps all the time might not agree that these movies are the best to suit their 3D desires.

If you like depth and clarity in your 3D, I'd recommend jumping in with both feet!

Oh, and you can check the 3D Blu-ray Reviews here to see that both received very high scores:

Almost always sold out at Amazon (but sometimes you get lucky). My local Best Buy usually has a few pairs in stock at full MSRP ($100). I got mine for less on eBay, but availability varies.

Visual Apex. Best regular price on the gen3, and

If you buy 5 or more of any accessories, you get 10% off on top of that.

That said, apparently they're out of stock until mid-April. (if that estimate can be believed)
