I just received replacement TrueDepth DLP link glasses that are compatible with Optoma/Vivitek pj's. When I tested them I noticed a degraded image compared to the old ones. As a test I held them (turned off) about a foot from my face and focused on some open vertical window blinds. This provided a nice sharp, well lit edge. As I move the glasses from side to side I cans see a distinct rippling effect. The straight edge of the blind has an uneven, almost sawtooth, pattern. I tried it with the old TD's and there is no such problem, just the normal distortion you would expect from plastic lenses. Also if I hold them just right to reflect light off the inside of the lenses I can see what appears as tiny bubbles.
I would be interested in knowing if anybody else with the new TD's can see this.
Another test: hold the glasses halfway between you and this text. close one eye and focus on one word through the glasses (with the open eye of course ). Move the glasses from side to side and notice if there is any distortion in the text.
thanks,
