POLL: Which budget 1080p 3D PJ do you own ? - Page 2

What does my ego have to do with it.
Since you can't even buy the optoma hd3300 in this country, who cares.
When you did your research , that might have been a few months ago, and there was no competition.
Crap guy, many times I'm on amazon looking at tomato paste, Amazon is selling for 3.99 dollars, they run out of stock, then next vender has it for 13.99. And the next after that for 29.99. No lie.
So what I'm saying is, if competition is thriving, the price is competitive. If only 1 place had it when you were doing your research, of course it was high because NO competition.
The optoma hd33/hd3300 and the epson 3010 and 3010e should be considered the same.
In the optoma forum room in december someone had installer sell him the hd3300 for around 1,500 dollars.
1,500 dollars and 2,600-over 3,000 dollars is not the same price range.

You can only buy HD3300 from dealers.....AVS apparently has cheapest price....but its no where close to HD33 price you can get online (especially if you are in a state with state tax). But I would highly recommend anyone to go for HD3300 over HD33.....the extra 3 year warranty is well worth it.

Maybe a new poll:

epson 3010
optoma hd33
Acer 9500

Those 3. Then there would be no confusion. All your epson 3010,5010,6010 etc was confusing.

Make it the big 3 and let the games begin!

You confused people with dividing up the optoma hd33 and hd3300 into 2 groups. And you didn't put the epson 3010 andepson 3010e to make 2 versions of same projector for both. Drop both and let the people that bought hd3300 and epson 3010e pick the one that is closest to their model.

p.s. It's a fun poll. Maybe also have people in poll afterwards share why they picked the one they picked. That would actually be useful to people that are trying to make up their mind about one or the other.
If there is a 4th budget 3d 1080p , under 2,000 dollar model, hopefully people can add what should be added to the new poll. Your idea was good, it was a first good attempt, now maybe you narrow it down to 3d 1080p budget projectors as your title suggested. 5010 and 6010 are not budget , they are the next price point in the 2,600- to over 3,000 range.

falafala. I paid nowhere near the price you keep throwing out there for HD3300. It was actually just a small amount more than the HD33. Defintely not 500 more than the HD33. It was actually less than 50 more when I purchased mine. I know I got a good deal but even then the next price I was quoted was only around 160 more than the HD33. No where near the prices of the 5010 or 6010. I actually purchased the HD3300, 4 pair of DLP link glasses and a 120 fixed screen for under 2000.00. So for me your numbers just don't make sense.

I think its good to see what every one is buying beyond these 4 models....I am very surprised to see 5010/6010 have so many buyers ! Going forward I will not classify any thing in my flash polls and let people draw their own conclusions....look at it this way, thanks to my POLL you learnt that HD33 is not same as HD3300 if not anything else !

Wow ! are you in the US ? where do you get that ? If this is indeed in the US, then its a steal of a deal....but I doubt you are in CA and in that case your HD3300 is same as our HD33

few months ago I was looking at $2000 for HD3300+2pairs of glasses and I got my 3010 for $1400 in BB with 10% off coupon + price matching with Amazon....so thats $600 difference !

In the US, Texas as a matter of fact. I did purchase my setup in pieces from different commercial entities around the US. I did not purchase a package deal from one entity.

If others can replicate your success, then its more power to potential buyers. Anyway, to keep it least controversial I will not combine any numbers to make it fair to all PJ's....each stands on its own

I don't really care who wins the numbers game. I bought the projector that best suited my needs and wants (HD3300), so I win! And so did everyone else who bought their machine - I'm sure most did a lot of research to come to their conclusions. But DLP is the best.
