Was shopping at my local blockbuster today, sad to say its closing, but they were handing out a wonderful coupon and I figured I would share with everyone. This is 2 months free of their online program, this gives you dvd, blu-ray, and game rentals for the next 60 days free! I signed up today and have it until March 29th. , Just make sure you follow it step by step and it works great!

1. Go to www.blockbuster.com/transfer

2. Locate small dots under terms and conditions on bottom left corner of the page, click those.

3. enter 91271 as store code, enter bbonline as password

4. at top right enter employee number 666441.

5. Sign up for free Trial!

This runs until March 24th the associate told me, so hurry and get ur free 2 months!

thank you. I just signed up and the instructions above worked (those two dots were so small at first I couldn't see it).
put 18 games in Q out of which only one seems to be available which is both strange and annoying but let's see...

Does anyone know whether this will work for previous customers or do you have to be a new customer for this to work?

Thanks,
Mike

Just got my free trial...we will see how well this works... My unpaid amazon prime expires right about the time this free trial does. Thought about going paid for their instant streaming but, I may go with the BB service if I like it. I never really was happy with their stores. Seemed like they were either out of what I wanted or didn't have it all together...not to mention they wanted a relative fortune to rent a movie for more than a night...no wonder their stores are going belly up. Honestly I'm not getting my hopes up, it took me a while to find 8 to put in my queue because I've seen about 1 out of every three 3 titles I was interested in. Definitely seems to have a better selection than Netflix though...

Is the instant streaming free as well?

True, I prefer not to give one. :P I just realized this is for BB stores and not online streaming.

Oh, it does have on demand streams. Wait, how old are the movies? I don't have a BR player/drive and a video game console (haven't had one since my Atari 2600; and mostly a computer gamer but then I don't play them these days).

the movies on the streaming dont have very many new releases, this is in relation to netflix..the on demand stuff on blockbuster.com is the newest stuff and a vast majority of old titles, but with those u pay per title..the free stuff is the mailing service, where they send the discs to you

Ah thanks. I was looking for newer titles streaming. Do they even have downloads like Amazon's? Thanks again.

They have direct stream where u rent the movie and pay per title, or they have it to where u can buy and download the complete movie and keep it..also u get the free unlimited mailings, and if a store is near u still exchanges.

Hey Sloopy,

Thanks for this thread. I had tried to use this free trial but it wouldn't let me as I had cancelled my membership in November but I tried again with a different email and it worked perfectly. I was even surprised it gives you 3-at-a-time free for 2 months. I figured it would just be 1-at-a-time.

Thanks again,
Mike

So you were able to sign up for two months free of the 3 out straightaway on your initial signup?
