Not me. $250 for the Windows version of Kinect, I'll pass. Better to spend that money on a remote upgrade.

I am mad they will not allow using it with the xbox kinect (according to Engadget).

Have one for the Xbox. Not buying another at that price.

It's nifty with the Xbox.

The windows version is enhanced over the Xbox version (and allegedly the Xbox 720 version will be even better than the new Windows version). Each version will get better, more precise, and will be costly on initial release. Wait a year and the prices will settle down.

there's a different app that uses kinect with mediacenter , thats free and works with the xbox version of kinect.

I can't post urls though , so google "amulet voice kinect"
