OK so I have 2 rptv's both were 15$ off craigslist.
Kdf-55wf655 I changed the blue LCD out with a green one from a 60" that I got for free. Previous owner said lamp was only a few months old. Only blemish is a very faint blue blob that only shows on a pure white screen
Kdf-e50a10 ordered bulb off Amazon. Didn't work so I put new bulb in old case now works fine.
I like the e50a10 because it has VGA and a much smaller footprint.
But it was on its original bulb when I got it. So does this mean It will be getting the blue dots/blob soon
The 55 has a higher Res 1366x768 vs 1280x720 and I still have the red LCD off the junk 60" if down the road it blues up again. I have very limited space so 1 has to go.
I'm gonna mainly use it for split screen fpS Xbox games due to its larger size
I mainly use a Toshiba 34hf83 for general since its crt is reliable .for ps3 and HD content I use my Sony xbr910
Which one should I keep and will last longer
