Okay, I'm on an amp quest. I can get an ATI 7 channel for about $100 less than the Parasound 5 channel and both are well below MSRP. Well, both manufacturers are well thought of so I'm sure build quality is substantial for either. That said, I'd go with the ati in your situation. It's a little cheaper, the difference in power would amount to .75db(which is barely noticeable), the warranty is 2x the length(even though if both are well made they'll likely outlast their warranties) and the 2 additional channels would allow you some flexibility if you want 7 vs 5 speakers. So, I guess you need to decide how much looks matter to you. Best of luck.
