I am currently building a new htpc for the living room, although I will also use it as my main pc, thus it needs to be relatively fast yet quiet. There are a few components which I am stuck on for which I would like to get your guys opinion.
The system I am currently looking at is as follows:
Intel Core i5-3570K
G.Skill Ares 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL8
Corsair Force Series GT 120GB
550W Super Flower SF-550P14PE Golden King
Noctua NH-C12P SE14
So now we come to the questions:
1. Will the Super-Flower SF550P14PE PSU fit into the case (although it says the S16V supports full ATX PSUs, im not sure if the 180mm length is too much)?
2. Will I have problems installing the Noctua NH-C12P SE14 CPU cooler? Im not worried about the height (up to 130 should be fine), but if it is too wide due to the vicinity of the PSU on the right and DVD drive bay infront?
3. As seen from the case drawings ( http://www.origenae.co.kr/board/bbs/board.php?bo_table=e_faq&wr_id=30
) the DVD drive protrudes over the mobo (which is also part of my previous problem). Could I possibly install a slim DVD drive, this way it wont go over the motherboard and RAM, and I might have some more space for the cooler?
4. Due to prices dropping a bit during my configuration, I have some extra to play with. Do you guys think it would be a better idea to go for the i7-3770 or upgrade the mobo to the P8Z77-V Deluxe?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
