After designing a few logos myself, I realized that you must consider how it will look in two tones. T-shirts, hats, emblems, silkscreening, all those things come into play. And if your logo isn't instantly recognizable in one or 2 colors, then you're not done designing yet. Number 1 is the closest, but you're still relying on the RGB color pattern, which isn't bad, but maybe think about how it would look if you tried to silkscreen or print it with only 4 colors, which is still quite a lot. Good work though, it's a positive step forward.
