I am looking to get an emo-5. Since the amp will be driving my speakers, does it matter which avr i have. WhaT I am asking is will it sound the same with a $400 avr vs. $1500.00 avr. Because it is the amp pushing the speakers.

Thank you

Thank you

Ignoring features, it still matters.

* Receivers may have different room correction systems [This is hardly debatable]
* If you believe some people, the digital to analog stage could make a difference
* Theoretically, the "pre amp" stage (probably just a volume chip with possible tone control features) could matter (whether it does or not, is not a debate I care about)

Thank you for your response.
Currently I have an onkyo 807.
Was looking to upgrade to 809 or 1009 with emo.
Maybe I stick with my 807 for a while and get emo-5.
