W6000 Issue

I have had an issue twice now on my 3 month old W6000 and can't seem to find anything about what the issue could be. After watching tv for an 1-1.5 hours the output of the projector goes extremely dim. After a few seconds, the picture goes back to a bright picture and it will continue this dimming/full brightness pattern until I turn it off (and it is random dim, not like every 5 seconds or anything). I turned off all sources to it and it still does it (which says to me it is the projector and not the source). The lights on the projector say everything is good. It did it once a few weeks ago and again did it tonight so it doesn't do it everytime and we even watch 5 hours of Superbowl on it with no problems.

Blub? Power Supply?

I am lost right now.

Thanks

Yep, mine does that but only when I start adjusting the settings for the brightness and contrast. Turning the contrast or brightness too high seems to trigger this problem. Picture goes very dim. Fortunately, turning Dynamic Black to on or off(depending on what setting you have it on) resolves this issue. Not sure why this is such a common in so many of these units. Hopefully there's a firmware fix soon.

It really sounds like your PJ is malfunctioning. Especially since it continues the odd behavior even with no source. Warranty repair time. Sorry.
