Which ID sub has the most "Clean" SPL from 25 HZ and up?

For $1K or less ideally....nothing wrong with getting the answer that a $600 sub is as good as any $950 sub above 25Hz.

Nice breakdown, but other than the Epik Empire there aren't any ID's on that list under $1K delievered.
My short list was down to the VTF3-MK4 and PB12-NSD, but I am wondering if I might gain 3-6dB above 25Hz while possibly losing 3dB below 25Hz from another ID sub option.
I have read all of audioholics reviews...trying my best to make the best choice. I have past experiences with big boy subs both ID and DIY but it's been awhile.

EAGLES, by that criteria would go for either the Hsu VTF15h or Epik Empire, although the Hsu is $17 over your budget after shipping. If you have an amp, check out the Chase SS-18.2P, I am sure that would win a SPL war against the Hsu or Epik. For sheer 25+ hz output, the Elemental Designs A5-350 would be a good choice, and it's only $800 shipped. The Hsu VTF3 and Outlaw LFM-1 EX would also be great choices, especially when run in maximum output mode. In fact, you might as well save some money and go with the Outlaw LFM-1 Plus or Hsu VTF2, since you are not concerned with stuff below 25 hz. Stretch your budget a bit and you could buy two VTF2s or LFM-1 Pluses, that would make for a very formidable bass system, with all the advantages that come with multiple sub setups.

ShadyJ...I actually owned a A5-350, albeit in a 3000+ cu ft space. It was not acoustically to my liking, the output was nice though.
$20 means nothing once you are at $1K, especially if it is worthwhile. I am also open to dual subs if that is the better route.
Is that Chase sub from "Craigsub", from Erie? If so, I was at his home once and saw his room of boom.

Yup. ChaseHT currently has a couple of passive sub offerings (the SS-18.1 and SS-18.2P) and one active offering (the SS-18.1 + Dayton SA1000 amp) for $1K (or less), shipped, but it appears that they've also got a new line-up in the works. See this post for more information.

From 20 to 100 Hz, you'd be hard pressed to find a ID sub that has more average output compared to the a7s-450. There definitely are some, but at a much higher price point. It's runs $850, but would be a custom order.
