VLC 2.0 for Mac

Thread Starter
Just wanted everyone to know that VLC 2.0 is out and has a new interface. Has anyone checked it out yet? Any thoughts. I just downloaded it and tried it once and it crashed it and took eyeTV with it! Weird.

Hmmm. Weird. I opened VLC and got this message when checking for updates:

"VLC 1.1.12 is currently the newest version available."

I'm using a MacBookPro 1.83 GHz with 10.6.8 if that makes a difference.

Not sure why it's inconsistent. When I opened VLC on my Macbook Pro it let me know there was an update available. On my Mac Mini it told me I was up to date. You can download it here. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html

Thanks. I downloaded it. First one was 64 and didn't work though it just read 10.6 (which is what I have) so I tried the one for 10.5 which is apparently 32 and works fine. I still don't know why my "check update" didn't work.
