As for Film Mode, it will only function if you're using an -i / interlaced signal like 1080i. I'd rather watch Blu-ray Disc movies at their native 1080/24p instead of converting it to 1080/60i. It can be helpful though for watching Netflix Streaming or DVDs without 2:3 pulldown on a 120Hz set (since devices like the PS3 output those in 1080/60p only, not 1080/24p).
