Do any of you have a great custom setting? I dont have Spyder. Just give me your setting and I will plagiarized it. Thanks!

according to amazon the 6003 is a "slim led" model while the 6000 is normal.

You'll need to check the sticker on the box itself. Look for the white label where the model number and UPC bar code are...at the bottom of the sticker it will show the version code....they are written, for example; VER TS01 or VER CH02 etc, etc...

I checked the sticker on the box before and there is no Version code, only on the sticker of the TV and it says 01.

You might want to check out this other thread called "The *OFFICIAL* 2012 Samsung EH4000/EH5000/EH5300 Owner's Thread" and post #267 on page 9 (plus the entire thread if you have time) as he's listed some of the various ways to discover the version number including the TV's tag and menu. I'm not a TV owner (yet!) so I'm only relaying what I'm reading. I have seen the versions on the labels of a few models from my visits to BB & Sears recently though.

Thanks for the Info mainejeepman. After all what i had read i think i have to stick with the service menu code + the version code 01 on the tv sticker. i think i got a samsung panel and maybe the version code 01 stands for the TS01 Panel. Overall iam happy with the performance of the TV.

I called Walmart to see if they could tell me which Version No they have in stock but the rep said she couldn't find it listed anywhere on the label. Grrr, I really want to buy this TV but I don't want to risk returning it.


Also, could someone knowledgeable please recap what I'm actually looking for? What do the version numbers actually mean?

Okay, after seeing the black friday deals at Best Buy, I saw the 55inch UN55EH6001FXZA on sale. It's listed as a BB exclusive. Any idea if this is any different than the 6000? My guess is that it's the exact same TV except for a different model number so that no one can price match it.

Thoughts?

Otherwise I'll just pick up the UN55EH6000FXZA and try to look for a TSxx panel since they carry it in store. They don't list the UN55EH6001FXZA as being available in store, only online.

What is the difference between the UN65EH6000 and the UN65EH6050? Is the 6050 possibly a Costco brand?

How are these rated by Consumer Reports?

It seems that most everybody is selling this for $1499 this week. With free shipping, plus California sales tax, is there a better deal out there?

The xx50 is the version they ship to wholesale stores like Costco, Sam's Club, etc.

I THINK you're correct that the BB UN55EH6001 is identical to the UN55EH6000 series much like the Costco UN55EH6050 (now listed at $849.99) is the same as the UNEH6000 with the model number variance made for these particular stores. Hopefully, some of our more knowledgeable forum posters will confirm this.

Interesting that BB RE-listed the Samsungs yesterday after pulling them last week from the "leaked" original ad....also noted they have listed it as a "Smart TV" but as we all know from this forum it's not! I wonder what kind of headaches and discontent that will cause come Friday!!??

For those of us who drink from the Amazon kool-aid cup, let's hope they come up with a price match or something close soon!! They are still listing the (original model #) UN55EH6000 at $877.99 as of this morning.

Has anyone else encoutered a Samsung UN46ES6003? I bought a 46EH6000 a few weeks ago but having problems with slight vignetting. I'd rather return this and get this thinner model. From what I found the thinner display is the only difference. Does it still have the same LED semi full array? Has anybody come across any other differences?

I just realized this TV doesn't even have an ethernet port and it's not wifi ready. My TV won't be near a router so I'm gonna have to get a PS3 just to get internet apps?

All ES series sets are edge lit.

The only difference I have found is that the ES6003 is a slim LED.

When Samsung announced its 2012 product line, there was some discussion of the ES series being generally "better" than the EH series, but I'm not sure if it was just the features (most ES are smart and/or 3D) or if there is substantive difference in the quality of the components.

Can't decide between a plasma or an LED given the daytime lighting in my living room (I prefer a plasma given the issues with LED). I have attached pictures of the model home which is exactly like mine (to be built). Can I do a plasma here or is there too much light/glare from the windows? Also 60 or 65 inch?

Same circumstance for me! I bought the 55" though. It had gone from 1100 to 950 for the "combo". He said it was no longer a combo, so they gave the difference on the TV only ($109) but I can take my BP back for a $55 credit, so I end up getting $165 off my original 1100. Not bad. I still have another 10 days or so to price match. Then I'll get the HTE5400 to go with it!

6003 is thin model and it is backlite right?

Thin is not good usually and speaker will not be great.

This is my first post. I have read and reread the posts on this thread several times and have learned a tremendous amount. Thank you one and all.

Armed with the information that I gleaned here I went to BB this morning looking for a 55EH6000. All the store had in that size were CH01 panels. I said no thank you. I then asked about 55EH6030. All of the 55EH6030 were TH01 panels. At $948 I could not say no and ordered the 55EH6030 for delivery on 12/2. This is going to be quite a change from my ten year old 50" Sony WEGA LCD projection TV. I hope I can find a new owner for the Sony as it has always run perfectly. Only maintenance was to replace the projection bulb after seven years.

I found the BB sales associate to be very knowledgeable. He knew about the differences between the different panels and that the Cxxx and Axxx were to be avoided. He also knew the Sharp panels had a limited viewing angle. I was quite impressed.

I probably should buy some Blu-Ray DVDs and maybe a 3D DVD. Any recommendations as to movies with spectacular video to see what the EH6030 can do on real world material?

Huh?? Are you sure about that? That would be a really great price for a 60" screen, but this model is a 65".

The 6001 and 6000 have minor differences in input connections relating to the Component and Composite port(s) - forgot the exact diffrence. Same HDMI and otherwise same TV. This is according to BB website as well as local store manager. He said the same happened with other Samsung TVs last year around TG.

Yes, photogold is correct and it is indeed the 65" model. I saw it yesterday in the local Costco. Not sure what panel it was, but the box stated Version MH01 I think (per memory here, no pic). Not sure what to make of that (the 'M' is throwing me off).

I just picked up the UN55EH6050 from Costco for $849.99. The only bummer is that they charge tax based on the pre-instant rebate price of $1,369,99. So it came out to $972 after tax, still not a bad price when it includes the extra year of warranty from Costco.

When looking at the boxes, they only had the version TH02 or CS01 panels. Actually, I'm not sure now if it was the CS01 or the CH01. I just picked up the TH02 since I thought that all Txxx versions are Samsung panels. I really wanted to get the TS02 but it was not available. After reading through this thread as well as the other Samsung EHxxxx thread, I'm not sure if the TH02 is a Samsung panel.

Are all Txxx versions Samsung panels or only the TS01 & TS02 versions? I'm holding off in opening the box just in case I have to return it and look for the TS02 versions in another Costco location.

I would buy one this second for $1049. We just received a costco mailer, and it said that the 65" class Samsung will be going on sale this weekend for $1499. It said the price was online only, but I have not yet seen it posted on Costco.com. I need to leave work early and visit our local Costco.

Just picked up a 6050 at Costco, HS01 panel. They had a mountain of these yesterday, and today I got the last one. Anyway, it goes up tonight, and we'll see how it goes! Can't really go wrong with the 30 day price guarantee, 90-day return, and 2-year warranty. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself.

I just picked up the same TV from Costco, with the TH02 panel.

I checked via the service menu, which according to this post it is a Samsung panel:

More importantly (for me at least), the picture quality looks great. I'll keep a close watch on it during the return period and if I notice anything bad, I'll return in.
