Pioneer VSX-03TXH Receiver Cutting Out

I know I've seen several posts about receivers cutting out on audio, but mine will randomly cut out on the audio AND the video, as all my video inputs are routed through the receiver. The screen goes black, the audio is cut, and after about 5-7 seconds it comes back on and works normally. The same thing keeps happening every 10-15 mins or so. I'm not operating at a high output level, so I dont believe the overheating to be the cause. I did a software/firmware reset on the unit and that has not seemed to help. Any suggestions? If there is another post that covers this same topic, my apologies for the duplication, but I didnt see one that matched it. If there is one, can someone please direct me towards it?

Do you mean all of your a/v sources are cutting out? If so, are you connected through HDMI? Do you have any analog audio sources hooked, and do they also cut out? It sounds like you're having HDMI issues, but not sure yet.

All of my sources cut out. I have each source connected to the receiver via HMDI. My DirecTV and each game console are inputed to the receiver with HMDI cables. The output from the receiver is also an HDMI cable. No matter which source I'm viewing, each one behaves the same, in that it will randomly cut out for 5-7 seconds at a time then come back on.

Sure sounds like a problem with your HDMI processing, in the receiver. I can't imagine it's a cable problem, since all of your sources are acting up. You may be out of luck for a quick, cheap fix for this one. Just as an experiment, you should try connecting one source with component/optical, to see if it exhibits any problems. May give a clue as to where the problem is likely to be. Good luck.

Have exactly the same problem with mine. Is intermittant, took it to the service centre and they couldnt replicate the problem meaning it came back unfixed after 3 weeks. Randomly cuts out with any hdmi source. Any ideas would be appreciated?
