Order has been placed:

Aerial Acoustics:
20T 2V's
CC5 with a new design stand
SW12
SR3

The first three are in Rosewood and the SR3 is in black. I am very excited, and I am looking forward to hearing these great speakers in my HT! .

Cheers,

I am really looking forward to this new set of speakers. They will hopefully be shipped by Pilot Freight today from the manufacture's warehouse. If I am lucky they will arrive in the middle of next week on a pallet!

Here are the weights of the shipment:

weight / wt. with packaging

20T 2V's: 252lbs X 2 = 504 / 396 x 2 = 792
CC5: 97 / 139
SW12: 130 / 160
SR3: 31 X 2 = 62 / 150

Total: 793 lbs. / 1241 lbs.

Yeah, I think maybe two friends will be required to help me carry it up the stairs!

Hopefully, my next audio purchase will be lighter in weight!

I will take some photos when they arrive and post them...

Thanks again,

Yes, like I said ... my approach may not be realistic for most rooms from a physical, esthetic, or wife approval standpoint. Fortunately, I am not married so my live-in GF still lets me do whatever I want. I assume that would change if I married her...

I like the ATC Speakers a lot. It is rare to find people using them so congrats on a great choice.

In my next home, I plan to build a dedicated theater to my specs ... right down to the floor system, electrical, and room isolation. It will be built to accommodate my tweaks the way I would like to have them.

Until then, my current Home Theater and Stereo are compromises with respect to my ideal. However, I can get reasonably close to what I qualify as acceptable performance even with these compromises ... and that makes me happy ... for now..

I have a dedicated room and despite that it didn`t sound `perfect`. For multi-channel and movies the ARC room eq in my Anthem processing improved things significantly. For 2 channel I just bought a Trinnov processor which does an amazing job.

I`m all about fidelity and faithfulness to source but room acoustics are what they are and measurable errors abound even in this custom, dedicated room. I agree with your thoughts about ATC being good for mastering AND listening. I have a full active ATC setup and it has dynamics to spare without being ruthless or unenjoyable.

We know you are really excited but...you might wanna change that link to read something like

Or something

My Aerials were shipped by air and they literally came overnight!
Although, I am considerably closer to them then you are.

Congrats again

The above link goes to the "Road to Nowhere" that Palin still talks about.
Get us a good link that works. And lets hope your check to buy these massive speakers is good, unlike your weblink. HA!

And here when I first read the above I thought you were saying that you came overnight when you first got your Aerials. That would be a feat to go into the Guiness Book of Records. I'd like know who helped you with that - was it your wife?

Sorry, I couldn't help it!!@@
