Remove IR from a Panasonic G20?

I have a Panasonic G20 with IR (hopefully) that I want to remove. I play alot videogames but I don't have a static image as long as I watch a movie (with black bars on top and bottom) but I don't get anything from that. It's only from the huds in videogames. What is the best way to remove it? I can't use the "white snow", because it lights down after a while, so I was woundering if I make a 1920x1080 white background image to fix it or is there any better options? I am rally tired when I wrothe this...

The set has a built in white bar scan that runs for 15 mins. That's the best way and worked for me. Do it right when the TV turns on (when IR is the worst) then again after a few hours when the set is warm. Try and do it immediately after playing the game that causes issues from now on as well.

I don't think I have that option on my TV?

Manual is here:

Page 33 shows the anti-image retention in the menus... under Setup.

On a side note, how long would it take for IR to translate into burn-in? How many consecutive hours of having a HUD on would it take?

The white scrolling bar is more of a diagnostic tool than an anti-image retention tool - it's basically a placebo and doesn't really work very well.

The ONLY thing that i've ever heard of removing IR is the snowy pattern on the Pixel Protector DVD according to several positive reviews on Amazon from Samsung owners and also a few guys here on AVS. Several of em reported that it eventually washed their IR away. It's also apparently available on Blu-Ray now. Check the DVD's reviews on Amazon, and search AVS for Pixel Protector.

Another possible option would be to play an animated Pixar BD for several hours and see if that does the trick.

Since I have a Swedish edition (Europe) I don't have that option unluckily. With "snow pattern" do you mean the white and black or is it a coloured "snow pattern"? Panasonic are really cheap by disabling me to run "white snow", it's like they know that the IR is still a big problem if you play videogames and want us to buy a new one. I know many manufacturers use a white background to remove IR, shouldn't I just try that. It's more simplier than the other options, I just make a 1920x1080p white coloured background and put it on a USB and put it in my TV.
