Polk Lci-RTS in wall speakers

Has anyone here had experience with Polks Lci-RTS speakers, in particular, the Lci-RTS-C and Lci-RTS 105?

I'm also interested in people's feedback regarding Polk Lci-RTS in wall speakers. Does anyone on the forum have any knowledge/feedback on these speakers?

About two months ago, I was able to find a pair of new Polk Rts-100 in ceiling speakers (THX certified). I use them in a secondary system, in my living room. I bought them based on one prior experience with other Polk in ceiling speakers. They are connected to a tube integrated amp, rel sub, peachtree audio DAC, and sonos as source, all tucked away in a cabinet. I absolutely love these speakers in this 2.1 channel system. Relaxed, articulate, and highly musical. One of my partners came by, heard the system and immediately looked to buy the speakers for his house ( they are no longer made.)

Yes I have used them in a few installs.
Love the ring radiator tweeter in them.
Haven't used the RTS-C but I think that one has a separate MDF enclosure that needs to go in the wall pre-construction but not really sure. The 105's and FX's have their own enclosures.
I'm building a new house myself at the moment with a HT room and will be using them again behind a acoustically transparent screen.

I have the LCi 265 and LCI-C center for the fronts and the LCi65s for my surrounds. I've painted them black and they look great in my movie room.

Thanks for the responses. How do you like the sound of the 265's and the center? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the price jump from the LS or RT in-walls

Yes I have , I have done a few very nice theater with them powered by a Pioneer Elite SC-09tx. It was a pretty incredible system. I have a few pic's.

What is your questions?

I'm trying to decide what speakers to use for a home theater that I'm building. We're definitely going with In-wall speakers and I've always been partial to polk. In our living room I have a pair of LSi25's and an LSi center channel with a psw505 sub. I'm hoping to have our home theater outshine our living room set up. So far this is the plan for a 7.1 set up:

Onkyo Tx-nr809
Emotiva xpa-5
Front channels LCi-RTS 105
center LCi RTS-C
Surrounds 265 RT
Rear surrounds RC85
Sub HSU VTF-15

So basically I'm just looking for opinions on this set up. How do you like the LCi-RTS speakers and do you think they hold their own against LSi's? Also, I'm not sure if it's better to use the RC85's as surrounds or rear surrounds. If you have any pictures of this other set up, would you mind posting them? Thanks for your feedback!

Looks like a nice set up.
The only thing I would do different is go with the same surrounds as rear surrounds. If they are all visible then they would look a lot nicer.

Maybe 4 x 65-RT's or 4 x 625-RT's. You aren't gaining anything by going with the 265-RT's crossed at 80Hz.
I used 2 x 625-RT's as surrounds in a recent install and I thought they sounded better that 3 x Def Tech RLS 3's used as L/C/R's behind an AT screen. Should have gone all POLK but I got the Def Tech's cheap.

I like the sound, but I am currently missing the mid bass as mine are currently mounted without the enclosure as the walls were already up. I have just built enclosures for my Front right and left speakers that I will be installing in the next week or so. They should really help improve the low frequency responce and tighness of the bass. I've searched the web for anyone who has experiece of the difference of with and without enclosures.

You might want to check, but I think the LS are the new replacement for the older LCi product. If I'm right, the LS series is the equivalent built in solution for the LSi M free standing series, and the LCi is the older equivalent of the LSi free standing series (that is being replaced by the LSi M).

The RT (Reference Theater) products have been around for a while (and improved a couple of times too). I'm only familiar with their free standing products, which can be truly excellent performers (especially the larger ones) but the LSi range is supposed to be quite a step up, and initial reports of the new LSi M have been extremely positive.

I bet Mantis10 can clear any confusion up.
