Plasma Question - Refresh

My company bought a plasma a while back and had no use for it. Now they want to use it to display a single screen for 8 hours a day

I have a solution to prevent IR, how long do you guys think i should leave my plasma off before bringing it back on to display the image.

My thoughts where 5 minutes of off time for 15 minutes of display.

I don't think that will work. If it is always showing the same fixed screen when on, then periodically turning it off will not help. The best way to prevent it is to change the screen when on!

instead of turning it off have some slides running through it
